3. Short Courses

Any institution may want to offer courses, which do not form part of the formal (or subsidised) structure of the institution.

The amount of information required for these courses is less than that for formal instruction, and this subsystem caters for this requirement. A subset of the academic structure is available to capture the academic rules in respect of these courses.

The registration program provides a less complex way of registering the students. Students registered through this subsystem do, form part of the normal complement of students and all the standard reports can be used to extract information in respect of these students.
